A birthday poem for a friend - Elaine Ong

Once so small, cute and tiny,
Now grown up, so pretty gorgeous and lovely;
Seventeen years of eating and growing,
Seventeen years of joy and blessing.

In school, reading, talking and laughing,
In an ice ring, Cheering, Skating and jumping;
With her around, exams gets very easy,
Cause she would help you, anyway she could, you see.

Life is tough, challenging and stressing,
"But hey! We're just seventeen!" she said relaxing;
Life still has a long way to go,
Be my close friend, and I will write you more poems, you know.

Happy birthday, Elaine, my dear friend,
Hope you'll have more birthdays, but not the end; *choy choy*
Keep wishing, wishing and wishing,
But please, don't forget me, you classmate and friend

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELAINE ONG MING-SAN!
