FCC Church Camp 2008 Fraser's Hill, Shahzan Inn - FCCCC2008

FCCCC2008 was held last week at Fraser's Hill... again!
and I finally got the photos! haha. So.. the camp lasted for three days.( Only) usually our church camps are for four days. However, it was good, the food, the hall, the speaker, (Ps. Raj), and the people of course.

Once we reached there,(journey was 'breathtaking') we were quite disappointed about the climate. It isn't as cool and chilly as it was three years ago when we also went there. (Silverpark). Most people who reached early took their lunch at the lousy chinese restaurant who sells a small plate of 'Fukien Chow' for Rm8. My family was smart enough to buy nasi lemak all the way from Subang for lunch. Haha. So the camp started around 3 30 pm, with an all exhausting literally WALKabout Fraser's. The walkabout scale covers the whole Hill, (serious one), from the gap, to Ye Olde Smoke House.

The Lake and reservoir along the hill road. Never remember studying that a lake can exist on a hill. Haha.

Samuel, Joash, Ken, Joseph being the handshakers to welcome arrivals
The Gap

Being breifed bout the walkabout
The yellow team. Are you using DiGi?

I went to stand at the gap. Don't say u've done that before!

The Black Team. Me behind the towering Brian

One of the task we had to complete at the Allan's Water. Sam and Deanna caught !

We almost decided to take this shortcut to the other side of the hill. Almost walked 8 km probably.

Yeah. That's only the 'welcome drink'. After the tiring journey up and downhill, Samuel was stunned with these.

Holy crap.. BMW, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yahama, Tamaguchi

After all that hassel and bussels, and after ther dinner, its was session one. Ps Raj. When I first heard the name I pictured a singh with turban and the slang. But this is him.

Yeah. Yvonne and Sze Munn... Jangan ghairah. Lol

Preparing for session one.

The crowd. Sabrina shocked, Daniel disgusted, Justin both.

The next day was all eventfull and tiring too.. Morning breakfast was awesome. (buffet mah.. all buffet rocks). The Session Two in the morning followed by Lunch.(another awesome one). The whole evening was dedicated to games and fellowship. While waiting for Telematches, we played Pepsi Cola! Amazing seeing all the old youths playing along. Hahaha. The telematch was indoor, but fun.

The stick game ice breaker

Caleb and Aunty Agnes doing the Christian Draw.

Allyna and Dawn during the free time.

Preparing for round one - River crossing game

Hair connection

Uncle Peter Lye with two people on him. Power siut.

The most unnature-friendly pairs game you can ever find.

Chloe after the tiring games.

Straw tower building....

..and it goes tumbling down.

In the night, Ps Raj touched on something that really 'touched' the heart of the youths. He spoke about celebrity Christians and I couldn't put the feeling into words.. No pictures too.. haha. Usually during camps, we would have gala nights and nvr fail to sleep before 3 30 am minimum on the last night. This year we hanged out at the lobby until 3 in the lobby(playing fusbal and table tennis, and boggle. Rock). The we sneaked into our room when we got shooed by Sarjan Uncle Francis. ahaha. We had 5 laptops in the room.. and a router! ahah. Dota and CS was all that came out from the gamer's mouth throughout the night.

Some night pictures of fraser's town in the night.

The last session was totally different from what we had planned. The worship session was lead by Ken Lee ( Chung) and guitar by Benjamin. Just the simple songs, and band really manifested the presence of God, compared to the full bands on other sessions. People started weeping and crying for almost an hour. My God can make grown up, tough, manly adults cry with his love. Beat that!

The lunch was another awesome meal. (We enjoyed it as much as we could, last meal..gosh). The camp was officially over around 3pm.

The group.

Me, Vivian, Anndrea, Lifern, Jacklyn, Joanna

Chloe.

Ye Olde Smokehouse. Looks classy, expensive, and ghostly.
"' {*..*}"'

Departure of the Young family.

Lessons was learnt, fun was enjoyed, food was eaten, and it was good. Fingers crossed for a better, cooler and LONGER camp next year!!

So long!
