College has been very fine. God has been good too. Got favor from lecturers, from new friends. The only thing that I don't have now is time. No time for outing, no time for commitments, no time for stupid stuffs. (except cs and facebook)

An assignment actually made me browse through my own collection of photos. I 'm supposed to create a mind map about " My Everyday Life". So I had to dig out my collection of photos (apparently it was everywhere in every hard drive I have, and still is), from facebook, and my blog. I find my blog being a really interesting source. Those were the times I updated everyday, with long long sentences and paragraphs, with photos supporting most of them. (i remembered once i was eager for the night to past so i can post for the next day)

I remembered too, I, together with my sisters and friends created a cell group blog, SubangLah which was a hit and was very happening. That went on months and months for a year.

But now, everything died down. Maybe we ain't got no time to log in each and everyday anymore. For me, that's one factor. And also laziness crept up into my fingers la.

Reading back my past posts really brought me into that nostalgic feeling. Deep, sad, happy memories. The joy, the sorrow, the frustration. And also I have no idea how i could write that long. o_O

Many things changed. Girls and flings period are over. Playful times are over. People pushing me around times are over too. Responsibilities are more now, too.

But one thing's for sure, My God has been good. Too good. He brought me through the sucky year, gave me good SPM results. Granted me a scholarship. Placed me in the midst of a bunch of jolly friends. I'm free from the bondage i've been in for a long time. Gave me rest. Blessed me with what ever I need. What else more could I ask from Him?

reminded of the good things in my life, and all this is because of Him. What else more could I offer in return, but this simple post of gratitude, love and blessing to Him?

A Bow

Made this in two days. Ain't perfect, but it's working like how a bow should work, and it's quite deadly, too. =)

Basically it's crafted out of bamboo, strips of them. A main core bind with smaller pieces on the back and front with iron wires. (and duct tape too)

Handle made of old tv cables, and the main core wrapped up with a layer of old jeans. =)

As you see here, the bow isn't really in a curved shape, but after bending and more bending, the bow takes shape.

Cool, no? =)

As promised, a long post. The sucky stress (SPM) is over, but now, i have another stress to face. Logbooks, every scouts' worst enemy. I have five logs to be completed by the end of this week, under the supervision and guidance of SIR Jason Sim.

Log Jaya Diri - some log about the parliment and dewan rakyat yada yada and the flags.
Log Kegiatan - bout some event or some crafts made by myself.
Log Ekpedisi - to be done during the expedition itself.
Log Perkhidmatan - everything about first aid, police, and etc.
Log Kemahiran - everything else that a scout should know.

Darn. Writing this alone gives me the chills.

Other than that 5, there's still Keahlian, Usaha, Maju, Jaya, and 8 other logs to be completed by the end of the year. Awesome, no? =)

I have reason to be sulky and sullen for the rest of the year. This year had been a disaster for me. Everything just doesn not work out right. When I was at the happiest point of my life, it went down and down and down...

But here I am! Rejoicing and being myself, the best I could be. I manage to go through the past two days without regrets, without the heartache that has been dwelling in my heart for the year.

I kept searching for joy in human. I was finding for the happiness, the company in human. But just recently, I realized everything isn't real. The smile on my face wasn't real. I loved to fit in gangs, so that I can fill up the void the past hurtful experiences left in me. Even someone very dear to me that I could trust, I could believe in, someone that i thought would always be ever ready to be there for me can also fail me.

It will be disappointing if you place your trust and security in a human being. (Those who agrees say YEA! xD) They will just fail you without mercy because of something wrong you've done. Or just simply, erm.. Fail you?

I've know that my trust can be placed in Jesus. It is clearly stated in the bible that God will never fail you. He never changes His heart. He never will say, "Sorry son, I HAD loved you, you're too late".

TO LIVE IS CHRIST, TO DIE IS GAIN.

Isn't it awesome to have something you could live for? Something lasting and never ends. I'm not living for any food anymore, they give you stomachache if you really live for them. I'm not living for any girls anymore, I had enough. They'll fail you someday when you least expected it. BUT, to live for Christ, it will be something lasting, furthermore, HE HAS PLENTY OF LOVE AND GRACE KEPT IN STORE FOR YOU!

Bible says, abide in Him, and he will bless you abundantly. Me favourite chapter of the bible states:

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

he leads me beside quiet waters,

He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.

This is the promise of God. If we decide to live with Him in our lives, we will have no worries in life. He will provide everything you'll ever need.

Recently I've attended a funeral of the grandma of a good friend of mine. The testimony of her life really encouraged me to live a live of Christ. Even with all the difficulty she faced in her life, a tough life, she still chose to abide in His words, and on a wheelchair, she still went on preaching to her friends or any strangers she met. She had every reason to hate her God. She had every reason to give up her life. But she stayed strong in faith. On her death bed, in the agony and pain of her sickness, she was still able to sing praises to Him, and pray. "Pray for me so Jesus will quickly bring me home". She passed away as someone who lived a life as a Christ. She passed away in peace. To a much better place. Only Jesus is able to give that peace.

When you die, do you wanna say, "I'm gonna die! Oh no. Help me, doctor!", or "Hey, no worries. I'm just going home."?

I HAVE THE REASON TO BE JOYFUL.

Living a life with Christ in the centre, we can smile at any heartbreaks, but still able to love without expecting a return. God knows exactly what you need at the right time.

Jesus says do not worry about food or clothing, bless others, and the Father will bless you.

I don't wanna live for any earthly purposes anymore. I don't wanna tell my girlfriends in the future that I can't live without her if she wants to leave me. Because what ever that will happen, is all in God's hands. I want to leave this earth, having my children and friends able to say that I'm a person not ashamed, not afraid to tell the world about Christ. Life is wonderful, to die in Christ is wonderful. BUT to be Christlike is ever more wonderful.

This is the reason why i can still smile. =)

This year WILL end good. It's been sucky all year long. "when you're on the high, prepare to fall". It has been like this. I made friends. I gained enemies. I want to leave school. It's a fine place. But at times very very disappointing. I know the world out there is tougher and more challenging. But hey, I'll put Christ in front of me. Everything will be smooth. Everything will be fine. I want to make new friends. I want to make better friends with the existing ones.

Sorry if I offended anybody.
I forgive those who offended me.
I prefer being friends with those I hurt.
I'm feeling all sullen now, but it'll turn out fine through time.

I regret many things I've done, I've chose to do. But the future is undecided. It'll be good.

SPM will be fine. The tuition later will be good too.

If you read this till the end, you are as lifeless as me. =)

"How easy indeed it is, I realized, for us to be sidetracked by the busyness and demands of our everyday lives. Life seems so mundane sometimes, so monotonous. And if that isn't enough, life catches us by surprise with unexpected trials and twists and turns; hurts, a broken heart, a dampened spirit, a dreadful feeling of being alive, a depressed state of mind.

People hurt people. People feel hurt.People hurt other people back in return.PERIOD.Nothing more to add to that. This is a fact of life that we all can't evade so as long as we're still living on this planet. Our emotions are like a rollercoasters. The very moment you're feeling up, be prepared for a drop back to earth. This statement by pastor is so true. This begs the question: Do we let our emotions dictate how we are to live? Do our words, thoughts, and actions flow along with the rise and fall of our emotional state? Or... Do we live out our lives with a Peace that is free and independent of our emotions?

The Bible says, "as a man thinks, so he feels". I find this extremely true and paramount in my understanding of human nature. Do we let circumstances change us or do we change the circumstances? Are we a thermometer or a thermostat? The former is completely different from the latter.

Hurt is REAL. Pain is REAL. I know. Believe me, I do. But now I realize, Jesus IS MORE REAL! Jesus just floods our hearts with His love when we come to Him. And suddenly, you find the pain is gone, the hurt has vanished, and is replaced by His ever-abounding love, joy, and peace.

This weekend, God has refreshed my soul by speaking to me through the youth service message and this morning's Sunday preaching. I learnt that once we know our identity in Him and Who loves so much, we needn't worry bout' a thing no more. So what if we're misunderstood? So what if we're accused wrongly? The KING OF KINGS, the only one whose opinions about us really matter, thinks the BEST of us! All this seems so puny compared to the very fact that Jesus LOVES you for who you are. And boy, did He really show it without holding back! He gave us His everything on that Cross! WOW, suddenly all insecurity is gone! All concerns of life, all hurt, all sorrow, is replaced by His love, favor, and immense Joy! I learnt that Jesus is my reality and HE has blessed me with ALL blessings!

An excerpt of the song, The Stand clearly echoes the cry of my heart:

uhh. I wanted to post something emo, but I just realized, this would be my 100th post! woohoo! (i know i know.. im a slow and lazy blogger. =)) Two years now, since I decided to open this thingy. Looking back, many things had happened. Many happy, sad, frustrating, and emotion in anyways had I gone through, and am going through. But, there's definately one good thing bout it. I'm still strong in faith. Many times I failed and lost hope in life. But there's still one answer to these tragedies. Jesus. When I have to end my night in sorrow, I pray. I remembered once I when i felt i was totally cut off this world, overcomed by loneliness, I heard a clear voice saying, " I'm always with you, son."

Remember my readers (if I have any...), God will not forsake you. He is always beside you. Not near, Its an understatement. He is always BESIDE you, giving you support, blessing you. The world wouldn't end even if a girl decides that you are annoying, and wanna have her own life. Because He always have a plan for you. When u study your additional mathematics, the probability chapter. There are countless routes and probability that is ahead of you. But no matter which way you choose to take, just trust in the Lord, have faith, and He will walk with you, BESIDE you.

Though I walk through the valley of shadow, I fear no evil, because I know that You are with me. Oh Lord, teach me to walk in faith. I know Your plan for me is big, and I wanna trust You. Lead me, You are my strength when I'm weak.

No matter what happens, I will continue to love, not being disappointed in the world. Every morning I wake up, I will not hold any grudge against anyone. For You have forgiven me, so I may forgive others. Let me live a life, filled with Your mercy, Your grace. Let the people around me know that You are my God. That my strength comes from You. I need your strength oh Father. Chat with You later, daddy oh. =)

Do not despair

Life is not an easy thing to go through by ourselves. Without a solid and lasting reason to live, there's basically no point living. Suicide cases, people jumping from buildings, into the sea, onto a busy highway, their excuses are quite simple. " I don't have a reason to live anymore..."

As a human being, we always depend on something or look forward to something to make our lives more exciting, more 'worth living'. But later on, we found out that everything we once looked forward to goes to past. Events, concerts, activities, missions. "Wow, sounds fun attending one, let's look forward to it.." But what's next after that? This will go in a cycle, because, nothing in this world will last. No event, no love, no nothing will ever last. We are too imperfect and too vulnerable to this harsh community and society.

However, do not despair. Really, because there is still one thing that you can look forward to.

God.

This God of mine, not like any other God, he didn't just appear and leave some notes or advices to his followers, then dies and immortalized by statues or paintings, or his radical followers. My God, is great, he did leave his word behind, made disciples to tell the world about Him. But he didn't die. He lived. While other gods are immortalized by statues, JESUS was immortalized by His great Love and Grace he promised us.

Instead of looking to the world for something to look forward to, Look to Jesus. Human love wouldn't last, but when this love fails you again and again, always remember, even when you get dumped, you are not alone. Jesus won't stand behind your back and says,"told you so, silly." Jesus always loves you. When your heart is broken, do not despair, remember Him, His love is free. You don't need to buy Jesus a teddy bear during Christmas, nor treat Him a costly dinner at Eden or Vic's Station.

Remember. Do not put anything of this world as your ship's anchor. It will rust and be crushed during a storm at sea. Try Jesus, and he will stay with you in the midst of a storm, comforting you throughout the journey.

Session 1 warm up

Anyways, there might not be anyone reading this post, but this could be my personal diary and journal.

Jenn Sze Yun

Being involved in a CF Rally might be one of my life's most memorable experience. Basically, CF Rally is an annual gathering of Christian Fellowships of schools around this region of Subang Jaya. From SMK Subang Utama in SS18, all the way to SMK USJ 23 and so on.

All this while I looked at these events and always have a misconception like, "oh no. Not again. Another 'show off' session for "Christians"." Maybe because when i look at the people, some my friends on the stage, performing, praising, and playing their instruments, i felt a very strong feeling of them being 'show offers'. I was judging the people, commenting their praise and worship sessions.

What i didn't notice, is the effort each and everyone of the committee, the worship teams, and the volunteers put in to make the rally a success, to tell the world bout the Truth, sharing Christ with them. So, yes, I'm a hypocrite, because i finally got involved with the worship team, as their backup singer and worship leader. (i wanted guitarist! Thank you esther very much! hmp!)

This was my first ( and last chance) to serve and see how a rally was run, planned, and executed. When i was being offered the position of a worship leader by my friend, Esther Lim, the worship coordinator for this year's rally, I hesitated, gave a lot of excuses. ANYWAYS, I prayed about it, and I'm very sure, that I heard a voice saying, "Take it, and glorify my name". I straight away called up Esther after a Wednesday prayer meeting. (Btw, Esther, if you're reading this, I also accepted it in behalf of you. You were really stressed at that time. =))

Hui Tingy

It turned out good. I received one of my most memorable experience i could have as a student, as a worshipper dedicated to serve Christ. For your information, I'm not a experienced worship leader, and I only lead my cell group of bout 15 people in worship before this. The rally was attended by at least 400 people. (AH!)

Joben

I also got a chance to work with random people from random schools. All this while, I only played with my church band. Always the same people. Now, these random people became my friends and brother sisters in Christ!

My vocalists : Evon! continue to sing for Jesus, he will bless you well. =)
Ei-Lene! I will still be your guitarist in CF meetings, no worries. HAHA!

My keyboardist: ESTHER! thank you for believing in me even when i don't believe in myself. =)

My A. guitarist: Michelle! Thank you for putting in so much effort during practises! hahax!

My bassist! : Benjamin! hmmm. speechless la. xD

Michelle was offered to be the MC for the rally. great success!

Now, for the concert session, the committee expected at least 1000 people attending, however I'm not sure bout the number attended, but the hall was full. Lead by Joben, or Joseph Benjamin Steward, (what a name!), and Hui Ting, the session was definitely a blast! after months of practices and stress, we finally worked out the song arrangement and parts well!

I learnt that we should not look down on any effort put in by anyone in bringing Christ to the world, eventhough, its a small event, or gathering, because when we believe, we as Christian youth and teenagers can make an impact to the society, God will be with us.

Shogun Sunway is a very smart Japanese Restaurant. They starve their customers outside their shop, putting them in line for 3 hours, (when they can actually apply some numbering system so that their customers will be able roam freely while waiting... like the one utama branch), so that their customers wouldn't notice how UNdelicious their food taste like. It's edible of course, and its Japanese, value for money. But for you out there who really wants good Japanese food and sushi, try other non-buffet style restaurant, or go Japan yourself.
